A. Suarez, a founding partner, serves as co-managing partner and
partner-in-charge of the tax practice at Mendonca & Suarez, LLC He
is directly responsible for numerous clients of the firm, with special
emphasis in advertising, professional service organization, retailing,
manufacturing and distribution industries. Mr. Suarez has significant
experience in litigation support, mergers and acquisition, start-up
businesses, and tax planning for owners of closely held businesses and
high net worth individuals. Other significant
experience includes business valuation, representation before federal
and state tax authorities, multi-tiered corporate consolidation and
multi-state tax compliance and planning.
Mr. Suarez received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Montclair State College. He
began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick where he served over six years
and attained the position of Manager in the tax department of the Short
Hills office. Mr. Suarez was directly responsible for all corporate
federal and state tax compliance, planning and research for large
publicly traded and small to medium-size closely held companies as well
as high net worth individuals. During his six years at KPMG Peat
Marwick, Mr. Suarez obtained diversified experience in several
industries, servicing clients in manufacturing, professional service
organizations, advertising, and financial services.

Suarez is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public
Accountants. He serves on various boards including Board of Directors of the Eastern Union County YMCA.
