obert G. D’Uva heads the audit, forensic accounting and financial
reporting practice at Mendonca & Suarez, LLC, CPA’s and is
personally responsible for clients in government, not-for-profit,
healthcare, manufacturing, distribution and retailing industries. Mr.
D’Uva has significant experience in non-profit and governmental single
audit requirements, litigation support and forensic accounting
services, including business valuation services. Mr. D’Uva has
successfully implemented and/or upgraded numerous accounting systems
for clients of the firm. Other experience includes Federal and state tax compliance and audit issues.
Mr.
D’Uva is a graduate of Pace University, New York, New York where he
received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Mr. D’Uva started his career with KPMG Peat Marwick. During
his thirteen-year career at KPMG Peat Marwick, Mr. D’Uva gained a
diversified background in several industries including large
multinational Fortune 100 clients in motion picture production and
distribution, pharmaceutical manufacturing, textile, apparel, and
financial services.
In
1990, Mr. D’Uva was recruited by Rowland Worldwide, Inc. a worldwide
public relations firm and a subsidiary of Saatchi & Saatchi Plc.
and served as a member of the Agency’s Executive Management Committee
as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for U.S. Operations. In this position, Mr. D’Uva was responsible for all administrative, personnel, financial, and accounting matters. During his term at Rowland Worldwide, Inc., Mr. D’Uva re-engineered several operational systems
and implemented cost containment controls leading to reduced staffing
levels, more efficient operating routines and positive cash flow. Mr. D’Uva has successfully negotiated client contracts and supplier affiliations.
Mr.
D’Uva is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public
Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
Rotary Club of Elizabeth and is a Board Member of the Family and
Children’s Services, Inc. and the Tewksbury Athletic Association.
